What to skip in wedding decor
A fuller hall is not a better one. Five things we remove before we add a single flower.
“If the first speaker is waiting for a clicker, the room has already failed, however good the stage looks.”
Corporate events slip in the same places. One team writes the agenda, another builds the stage, and a third handles lunch. Nobody owns the minute the talk is supposed to start.
We ask for the programme before the design. Who speaks, for how long, with which slides, and what happens if they run over. Every person with a microphone walks the stage once. The backup file is in the room, not in someone’s car.
Registration opens early enough that the first session is not also the queue. Food notes from the invite reach the kitchen. The backdrop should be readable. It does not need to be the biggest thing in the hall.

Shade and seating matter more than a backdrop the bride will use for ten minutes.
Guest count, the kitchen, the weather, and the drive home shape the function more than a mood board.
