What to skip in wedding decor
A fuller hall is not a better one. Five things we remove before we add a single flower.
“A mehendi is a long afternoon. Plan it for the third hour, not only for the first photo.”
People sit, eat, and talk for hours. If the design only works for a ten-minute portrait, the rest of the afternoon is plastic chairs and too much sun.
Shade comes first. Cloth and trees are better than a flower wall that traps heat. Keep seating in small groups, with a few proper chairs for anyone who cannot sit on the floor for three hours.
Colour can be full marigold, or quieter, with marigold only in the thalis. Music stays low while the artists are working. Food should be easy to hold. A full buffet in the middle of wet mehendi is a stain waiting to happen.

The programme comes first. This is what we confirm before we talk about the backdrop.
Guest count, the kitchen, the weather, and the drive home shape the function more than a mood board.
