How to plan a comfortable mehendi
Shade and seating matter more than a backdrop the bride will use for ten minutes.
“Guests remember if they could sit, walk, and see. They rarely remember the fourth chandelier.”
Most wedding halls we are asked to fix have the same problem. Things were added one by one. A mandap, then a tunnel, then a ceiling piece, then a photo wall that blocks the way to dinner.
Before we draw, we visit the venue at the time the ceremony will happen. A lawn that looks big at noon can feel tight once lounges, a bar, and a buffet are all in it.
We start by removing. The entry needs one clear look. Flowers belong at the mandap, the table, and one photo the family will print. Two materials and one accent colour are enough. Leave a path for elders, children, and anyone carrying a plate.

The programme comes first. This is what we confirm before we talk about the backdrop.
Guest count, the kitchen, the weather, and the drive home shape the function more than a mood board.
